FUNCTIONAL DEFINITION
Material, loads, constraints, symmetry, boundary conditions, and margins of safety are defined first to ensure the solution will meet the specifications for the part.
FEA MESH
The part is meshed and set-up for Finite Element Analysis.
STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
Finite Element Analysis is performed to understand the stresses, strains and displacements of the original part.
TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION
Topology Optimization is applied to the original part to identify areas where material is not needed.
GENERATIVE DESIGN
The resulting optimized shape is re-modeled to meet all functional requirements and save weight.
STRUCTURAL VERIFICATION
Structural analysis of the new design is performed to confirm structural strength and stiffness are within the prescribed margins of safety.
