"OPTIMIZING STRUCTURES FOR A COOLER WORLD"
Efficient Structures. Less Energy. Less Warming. Better Planet.
The idea behind DUROWORKS’ Massive Transformative Purpose is simple:
If working together, we design more efficient structures, we can reduce the energy it takes to move them, reduce related fuel emissions, and reduce global warming. At scale, it’s one of the most effective ways we can contribute to cooling and improving the planet.
DUROWORKS is driven by professionals who’ve spent decades at the heart of aerospace engineering. Experts who’ve designed structural systems where every gram matters, and who’ve learned that, despite all efforts, we’re still moving large amounts of unnecessarily heavy material.
We believe structural optimization is one of the most overlooked tools in the fight against climate change. Most of the world’s emissions are caused by inertia. By designing more efficient structures, we unlock better use of material, better performance, and make a modest contribution to a better world.

An Exponential Organization
Tech-Driven Disruption. Lean Innovation. Scalable Impact.
We redefine the design of high-performance structures by leveraging AI-powered advanced engineering. By integrating generative design, manufacturability, and systems thinking, we deliver superior solutions with less investment. Our lean, project-driven model connects our experts and advanced design automation with your team to achieve our Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP).
Inspired By Nature. Assisted By AI. Designed By Engineers.

Who is Behind DUROWORKS?

Sergio Perez Fontana
Aerospace Engineer / Technologist
DUROWORKS was founded by an aerospace engineer and technologist who contributed structural solutions to some of the most consequential aircraft programs of recent decades, from iconic flying vehicles like the Boeing 787 and Gulfstream G500, to emerging eVTOL air taxis. His work helped reshape configurations, resolve critical design flaws, and ensure structural integrity, often under high pressure, and at significant personal cost. Whether it meant sending an advanced commercial jet back to the wind tunnel, resizing a transonic winglet system, redesigning a transport aircraft’s wing-to-body joint, or challenging flawed eVTOL configurations in high-stakes settings, his top priorities remained firm: integrity, safety, sound engineering, and performance.

What is Behind
DUROWORKS?
"The advanced commercial jet that is, versus the one that was never going to be."
Conviction is rare in modern engineering, and often unwelcome. It’s easier to say “yes.” The path is smoother. Until it isn’t.
What conviction enables is the willingness to ask hard questions early, when it costs less to get the right things right fast. It’s a mindset that prioritizes substance over form, safety over optics, and long-term outcomes over short-term comfort.

That mindset comes at a cost, but the tradeoff is worth it.
A Very Personal
Modus Operandi
The principle is simple, and proven:
“First, do the right things. Then do them right.”

That philosophy is what shapes DUROWORKS as a Center of Excellence grounded in engineering ethics, common-sense judgment, and structural intelligence forged through high-stakes experience.
There are many stories behind that principle, and I'm ready to share them.

Why it Matters?
"Because we're cooking the planet.
That's why!"

-
Unnecessary material in a structure needs more energy to move it, more fuel burned, and more COâ‚‚ released.

-
Traditional structural design accepts low safety margins only in localized areas, wasting opportunities to minimize environmental impact.

-
Optimized structures instead reduce energy demand and environmental impact, making them one of the most overlooked solutions to climate change.

DUROWORKS was created to focus exclusively on this gap.
